Ministries
Bible Study
Each week, the church meets to study God’s word. The Bible Study follows a prayer service in which the minister and members pray over various issues. The minister and other church members teach the Bible Study.
Children/Youth
This ministry leads the church in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive Christian Education program and developing training projects such as retreats and workshops for church youth.
Deacon
The church's deacon ministry primarily serves under the pastor's leadership: leading the church in achieving its mission, proclaiming the gospel to unbelievers and teaching believers, and caring for the church’s members and other persons in the community.
Deaconess
The deaconess ministry is comprised of the wives of deacons. These women assist in preparing the Lord’s Supper, pre-baptism counseling of baptism candidates, visiting the sick and shut-in and visiting newcomers to the community.
Encouragement
On the first Sunday of each month, members will pull a member’s name from a box to encourage another member. The individual will determine the method of encouragement based on consideration of the needs of the person selected. It may include a phone call, card, food, a small gift, some assistance, or any other means the person deems necessary for building up the person he or she selected. The person will pull a different name each first Sunday.
Evangelism
This ministry ensures the church is a Great Commission Church. It works outside the four walls of the church to reach the lost within the surrounding community. Participants in this ministry must undergo special training to share their faith.
Heritage Room
This room displays the church's history during its years of existence.​
Library
The library, located on the church's main floor, serves as a resource and reference center, offering materials to help enrich lives, deepen spiritual understanding, and nourish and grow individuals.
Media
The media ministry team establishes, initiates, records, produces audio and video, and monitors all church services, programs, and special events.
Men
Through various activities, this ministry provides training and enrichment for the church's men.
Missions

Local -The purpose of this ministry shall be to stimulate a missionary spirit in the church's men, women, and young people through various activities and the study of the missionary message of the Bible. The mission ministry participates in the First West Florida, the Florida General Baptist, and the National Baptist Women’s Auxiliaries.

World– This ministry has taken on a new focus as we strive to have a heart for God that He uses us as we follow Him wherever He leads. We pray and seek God’s guidance in what He desires us to do in our community and worldwide.
Music
The music ministry enhances the church's worship service and is designed to prepare its participants to lead the song service.
Mount Olive Faith-Based Community Information Center (MOFBCIC)
MOFBCIC is dedicated to creating a supportive environment for minority residents in Escambia County, with a strong emphasis on the involvement of parents and community members in fostering an interest in computer science and AI among students.
New Member
The minister and a committee have designed a packet to assist new members in gaining a deeper understanding of who we are at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church and the goals we strive for personally and collectively. The number of sessions will be determined based on each new member's needs.
Nursery
We offer nursery care for children under three so that parents can focus on worship service without distraction. Our nursery is located on the main floor of the church.
Nurses
We have trained nurses and assistants who assist members and guests with comfort and first-aid care in case of emergencies until the arrival of other medical personnel.
Outreach
This ministry will include the Epps Christian Center, Manna Food Bank, the prison system, and other organizations the church deems necessary. The church will continue seeking businesses and organizations to develop partnerships that contribute to its growth.
Prayer
We come together monthly as a church or as needed to pray for families or individuals who may have special needs.
Sunday School
The Sunday school is a ministry that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM. This teaching arm of the church works from a nationally structured curriculum and carries students through the Bible. Classes in Sunday School are divided by age and offer age-sensitive teaching.
Transportation
This ministry provides the program and personnel for transporting children, the elderly, the handicapped, and others who may need transportation to or from any church program or activity.
Trustee
The trustee ministry oversees the church’s property. It tends to all financial matters related to the church and signs legal documents related to church-approved matters when signatures are required.
Usher
The Ministry maintains order within the church's worship service. Participants are taught how to perform their duties effectively. This ministry is vital to the church because it assists the pastor and membership in orderly worship.
Women
This ministry provides training and enrichment for the church's women through various activities.
Bereavement
This ministry will ensure that funerals are carried out orderly.
