Section 1:
General Qualifications
Membership of the Church shall consist of such persons who have confessed Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior. Those who have made such a profession of faith may enter the membership by vote of the Church in one of the following ways:

By New Testament Baptism.

By the state of previous baptism experience or
-
By letter from another Baptist church.

Baptism
Individuals may also be received under Watch Care. Watch Care is designed for people who want to connect with the Body of Christ but are not of the age, are in transition, and are not prepared to accept full membership at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. Watch Care allows people to seek fellowship in the Body of Christ, honor God, invest their gifts in a local body of believers, and retain membership in their home church.

Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus Christ, obligatory upon every believer, wherein one is immersed in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as a sign of fellowship with the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, of remission of sins and of giving oneself up to God to live and walk in newness of life.
