Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Pensacola, Florida, greets you in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Believing that God is the one who calls Pastors to Shepherd his people (Jeremiah 3:15), the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking God’s choice for the position of Senior Pastor.
 

The Church was organized in 1887. We are affiliated with the First West Florida District Association, the General Baptist State Convention of Florida, and The National Baptist Convention, Incorporated, USA.

The applicant must be able to officiate all the ceremonies of the Baptist Faith, serving with humility and grace. The Senior Pastor will serve as a Servant Leader, Teacher, Counselor, and Visionary for the church. The applicant must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Bible and a clearly defined vision for leading the church. Further, the applicant must effectively interact with multi-generational congregations, articulate clearly, and demonstrate knowledge of managing church business. The leader must have a divine calling and must be able to embrace the Missionary Baptist Doctrine. The applicant must be a God-fearing leader and demonstrate an enthusiastic love for Christ.

The successful candidate will meet the minimum qualifications:
*Must be a born-again Christian with strong family and community values.
*Ability to develop and share a vision to strategically move the church forward spiritually and
educationally.
*Must be able to preach and teach the word of God effectively.
*Must have Pastoral/Ministerial experience.
*Must consent to a criminal background check, academic verification, and credit check and provide a
current physical exam.
*Experience in the interpretation and administration of By-laws governing churches.
*Must be a skilled counselor available to assist church members with personal and spiritual guidance.

*Must be willing to work with all age groups and have prior experience in the spiritual development and guidance of children, youth, and young adults to increase their spiritual growth.
*Must have a warm and friendly personality.
*Master of Divinity is preferred but not required.
